5 Things That Might Help You Decide if Law School is for You
1. Desire to Help People
No doubt, your main duty as attorney is to solve problems. If you do not have a desire to genuinely help people, being a lawyer will be very exhausting. For me, every time I feel exhausted about my work, I always tell myself that I help these people “entangling” their problems and it immediately makes me feel better.

2. Be Curious
Growing up I always asked so many questions about literally everything to the point where my mom scouted the lawyer side in me. I found it very useful because curiosity helps you when you do your research or simply solve a problem. I “cross-exam” my own self in my head. I know, sounds silly but hey, it has been very helpful!

3. Be Organized and Prepared
Oftentimes, problems come up and require immediate attention - on top of other problems. Being organized helps me a lot dealing with last minute problems. I can easily retrieve the files and take a look at my notes. I don’t have to start everything from scratch because I can easily track my files.

4. Not Easily Hijacked Emotionally
I am sure many lawyers will agree with me that being a lawyer can be emotionally draining. One day, you handle your problems easily but other days you get yelled at by your clients or deal with difficult opposing counsels. Being not easily hijacked emotionally can help you
I always try my best to put my work problems aside as soon as I close my laptop.

5. Risk Taker
Sometimes I have to take a different/new route when solving issues. Before being a lawyer, I was a type of person who always played on the safe side. Then I realized to get an outcome that most people don't get, I sometimes need to take a route that most people don't take.
